CleanKore and HMS have announced a strategic partnership aimed at transforming sustainable denim manufacturing. The collaboration will integrate CleanKores innovative low-impact dyeing technology with HMS sludge-free washing and finishing system. Together, the companies plan to launch a pilot program designed to deliver a fully integrated, environmentally responsible solution for denim production on a global scale.
CleanKores dyeing method eliminates the use of Potassium Permanganate (PP) and significantly reduces water, chemical, and energy consumption throughout the supply chain. The technology also ensures precise dye penetration while preserving the quality and performance of fabrics.
HMS CEO and founder Beyza Baykan commented, This partnership unites two engines of innovation. CleanKore revolutionizes the initial stages of denim processing, while HMS redefines the finishing phase. By merging our technologies, we can offer the denim industry a holistic approach that minimizes environmental impact while optimizing both cost and time efficiency.
HMS contributes a composite washing stone designed to replace traditional pumice stones and chemical treatments, eliminating sludge generation, reducing water usage, and ensuring consistent textile results. The combined technologies are expected to lower environmental impact from the dyeing stage all the way to garment finishing.
The companies have described this partnership as the first step in a broader collaboration, with further pilots, initiatives, and commercial rollouts anticipated in the near future.
CleanKore CEO Darryl Costin Jr. added, Partnering with HMS, a company that shares our commitment to innovative, sustainable solutions, is a tremendous opportunity. Their pumice alternative complements CleanKore perfectly, and we are excited about the positive impact our joint efforts will have on the global denim sector.
Analysis: Strategic Shift in Sustainable Denim
The partnership between CleanKore and HMS represents a significant step toward reducing the environmental footprint of denim manufacturing. By combining CleanKore's low-impact dyeing technology with HMS's sludge-free finishing system, the collaboration addresses multiple stages of production, from initial dyeing to garment finishing.
CleanKore's elimination of Potassium Permanganate and reduction in water, chemical, and energy use directly tackles core sustainability challenges in textile manufacturing. HMS's composite washing stones replace traditional pumice, preventing sludge generation while maintaining consistent fabric quality.
This integrated approach not only promises measurable environmental benefits but also offers potential cost and time efficiencies for manufacturers. With pilot programs already planned, this partnership could set new industry benchmarks for holistic, eco-friendly denim production on a global scale.
