North Devon councillors have approved funding totaling 36,000 to support local village halls and a sports project across the district.
The allocations include 18,000 for Instow Village Hall's "Go Green Project," 7,000 for a new patio at Bishops Nympton Parish Hall, nearly 8,000 for guttering improvements at Witheridge Village Hall, and 3,500 for creating a new entrance to the sports field at Burrington Parish Council.
The funds originate from developer contributions linked to recent housing developments within the area. These developments have taken place on sites including Golland Farm in Burrington, Barton Cross, Instow, land south of Broomhouse Park, and Webbery Moor near Ash Mill.
