DNV awards Approval in Principle to Jiangnan Shipyard for JNIS (DATA) platform

DNV has granted an Approval in Principle (AiP) to Jiangnan Shipyard in China for its Jiangnan Intelligent System (JNIS) DATA platform, which meets the criteria of the D-INF(S) class notation. This certification confirms that the shipyards standardized onboard data platform complies with ISO 19847 and ISO 19848 standards.

The D-INF(S) notation ensures that data collection systems can capture information from various onboard systems and handle input and output according to ISO 19847/19848 specifications. These rules are designed to support seamless data exchange between ships and shore facilities.
