BRUSSELS, Dec 4 European Union regulators are evaluating the possibility of implementing temporary measures against Meta in relation to the introduction of artificial intelligence features in its messaging platform, WhatsApp, according to EU antitrust commissioner Teresa Ribera.
Ribera, who had initiated an investigation into Meta's policies earlier, which are set to be enforced in January, did not specify when a decision regarding interim actions would be made. She further explained to the press that the European Commission had received multiple complaints from smaller businesses regarding Meta's new AI policies on WhatsApp.
