Feline breaks free from carrier on Delta flight — secures first class upgrade

Traveling can be stressful on its ownbut bring a pet along, and the experience can quickly spiral into chaos. This was exactly the case on a recent Delta Air Lines flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta, where a cat managed to escape its carrier and make a daring dash toward first class.

The cats owner was seated in the back of the aircraft, but the adventurous feline clearly had other plans. Upon reaching first class, the cat squeezed under the seats and refused to come out, creating a tense yet amusing situation.

A TikTok video shared by @nalah_symone shows a flight attendant on the floor, trying to coax the persistent passenger back into its carrier. As anyone familiar with cats knows, they tend to ignore commands once their mind is made up. In this case, the kitty seemed to consider coach seating beneath its standards and wasnt willing to move.

In the video, Symone humorously remarks, Theyve been negotiating and begging this cat to come out, and shes like, I dont know who you think I am, but Im not sitting back there. She added that the standoff continued for quite some time.

Eventually, the crew managed to retrieve the determined feline, carrying it down the aisle by its armpits. The cat appeared startled by the indignity of the situation.

Delta Joins the Fun

The airline itself commented playfully on the TikTok post, writing, an upgraded seat? dont mind if i do. This lighthearted response is notable, given Deltas official policy: Your pet must remain inside the kennel with the door secured while in a Delta boarding area, during boarding and deplaning, while in a Delta Sky Club, and while on board the aircraft.

While the exact details remain unclear, it is evident the cat was not in its carrier at the time of the incident. No statement has been released by the feline involved.
