GE Vernova (GEV) regains popularity as RBC becomes more optimistic.

GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE:GEV) has emerged as a key stock in the AI sector attracting analyst focus. On December 10, RBC Capital analyst Christopher Dendrinos raised the rating on GEV from Sector Perform to Outperform, setting a new price target of $761. The firm cited the companys strong growth and favorable margin trends as justification for a higher valuation.

Previously, RBC had lowered its outlook on GEV after underestimating the companys growth potential and margin opportunities. However, the firm now recognizes that GEV continues to perform strongly, supported by an updated outlook that exceeded expectations.

RBC highlighted that GEVs expansion will boost margins through several avenues. In the near term, gains are expected from improved equipment margins and enhanced productivity. Long-term drivers include a growing services backlog and an expanding electrification product line.

Our revised price target of $761, up from $630, is based on a 13x 2030 estimated EBITDA multiple, compared to the previous 12.5x. This reflects confidence that estimates may continue to rise, the firm noted.

GE Vernova Inc. is a global energy company whose growth is fueled by rising energy demand for AI technologies. While GEV presents an attractive investment opportunity, some AI-focused stocks may offer even higher upside with lower risk.
