People Have Already Started Making Spooky Sora Disney Videos

A growing wave of unsettling, darkly comic videos styled after classic Disney properties is already circulating through OpenAIs Sora. The trend raises serious concerns about Disneys choice to align its family-oriented brand with a tool that appears to be generating large volumes of offensive parody content while showing little respect for copyright boundaries.
The situation feels especially contradictory given the caution both companies have emphasized elsewhere in their partnership. Disney and OpenAI have made it clear that actors faces and voices are excluded from the licensing arrangement, a restriction that likely reflects the legal and ethical risks surrounding likeness rights.
Despite these safeguards, Disneys decision to officially license its intellectual property to OpenAI may open the door to an even larger flood of AI-generated Disney-style material. This has prompted questions about how both companies plan to oversee and control the use of these iconic characters, particularly when similar content has already spread without effective moderation.
The issue becomes even more pressing in light of Disneys plan to feature selected Sora-generated videos directly on Disney Plus. Without clear and enforceable standards, the partnership risks amplifying content that clashes sharply with the values Disney has long promoted.
