Sydney Sweeney Receives Support from Reporter Amid 'Jealous' Backlash

Sydney Sweeney has found a supporter in Fox News following recent backlash regarding her looks. The actress has faced scrutiny this year, including comments from MSNBC host Krystal Ball criticizing her physical appearance.

On Wednesday, Fox Business contributor Katrina Campins defended Sweeney, stating, Shes only getting more attractive, and people are clearly envious. The debate around the Euphoria star has also touched on politics, with some suggesting criticism stems from her alleged Republican leanings. Sweeney reportedly registered as a Republican voter months before Donald Trumps presidency.

During an appearance on Jesse Waters Primetime, Campins described Sweeney as so Republican, she gets more stunning every day, adding, All Republican women are gorgeous!

This response followed Krystal Balls accusations that Sweeney was trying to appeal to right-wing audiences. The actress had been trolled over her appearance during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, with some interpreting her look as politically charged. Ball previously suggested that Sweeneys approach may have negatively affected her film Christy, which earned just over $1 million during its opening weekend, one of the weakest openings for a film released on more than 2,000 screens.

Sweeney also faced criticism during the summer for an American Eagle campaign promoting jeans, with some viewers claiming the ad's message was controversial. Earlier in 2023, she drew attention when family members shared photos wearing Make America Great Again (MAGA) hats.

Filming for Season Three of Euphoria concluded in November, with the season scheduled to premiere in April 2026.
