'The View' Reveals Festive Christmas-Inspired Set.

On Thursday, December 4, The View shook up its usual opening routine. Instead of marching to Leona Lewiss This Version, the cohosts made their entrance to Sias festive hit Candy Cane Lane. This change marked the start of the shows 12 Days of Christmas series, with the set transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland.

Cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin arrived at their panel table surrounded by decorated trees and dazzling lights. Griffin, returning after a three-day absence, was warmly greeted by Goldberg, who said, First of all, welcome back, Alyssa!

Griffin shared with the audience, Im feeling totally better, but getting sick while pregnant is no joke. Behar added a playful remark referencing recent debates about medication during pregnancy: No Tylenol for you!

The conversation then turned cheerful as the hosts expressed excitement about Griffins pregnancy and celebrated her return to the show.

The mood shifted slightly as the Hot Topics segment began, focusing on recent news involving Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Reports from a Pentagon investigation into SignalGate allege that Hegseth endangered U.S. troops by using an unsecured messaging app and including a journalist in discussions about sensitive operations in Yemen.

Earlier, Griffin had mentioned her absence due to a stomach virus, noting the challenge of being ill while over six months pregnant. She advised viewers to stay cautious during the season: wash hands frequently and rest when sick.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
