Discounted bus tickets for traveling within the city during Christmas

Residents and visitors in Hull can enjoy reduced bus fares during the festive season. The Hull Bus Alliance has introduced a group travel promotion that began on Monday and will run until 31 December.

Stagecoach East Midlands and East Yorkshire Buses are providing the Hull Card Group ticket, allowing up to five passengers to travel for just 7, a significant reduction from the regular price of 14.90.

Mark Ieronimo, Hull City Council's cabinet member for transport and infrastructure, highlighted that the initiative aims to support household budgets and "address congestion challenges" across the city.

The ticket permits unlimited travel on the day of purchase on both Stagecoach and East Yorkshire buses within Hull.

Ben Gilligan, managing director at East Yorkshire Buses, emphasized: "This scheme enables families and friends to opt for an eco-friendly travel choice, avoid traffic delays and parking costs, and still benefit from cost-effective bus journeys."
