BERLIN, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Germany's competition regulator announced on Tuesday that it is reviewing measures proposed by Apple to tackle concerns regarding its App Tracking Transparency Framework (ATTF). The authority has also initiated a market consultation to collect input from app developers, media organizations, content providers, and data protection bodies.
Bundeskartellamt President Andreas Mundt stated that Apple has committed to implementing impartial consent prompts for both its own and third-party applications. According to Mundt, the preliminary evaluation suggests that these measures could address the identified competition concerns. A final verdict will be issued after the completion of the market consultation.
