On Tuesday, Michael and Susan Dell announced a plan to contribute $250 each into "Trump accounts" for 25 million children across the United States. This initiative represents a total investment of $6.25 billion, aimed at helping young Americans build a financial foundation for the future.
The funds will primarily be distributed to children aged 10 and under who were born before the eligibility date set for these accounts. The accounts themselves were established earlier this year through a tax and spending measure passed by Republicans, designed to provide $1,000 for children born during President Trump's second term.
The Dells stated, "Children older than 10 might still receive support if any funds remain after the initial enrollment period. This is a practical and immediate way to help families start saving for their children today."
