Police raid reveals £2m cannabis farm

Authorities have detained six individuals following the discovery of a large-scale cannabis farm in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, valued at over 2 million on the streets. The operation was identified after police drones captured thermal imaging footage of the site.

The raid took place around 07:00 GMT on Monday, resulting in the arrest of six suspects aged between 21 and 44. Investigators reported that the property had a sophisticated electrical setup to bypass the standard power supply.

Tameside Chief Inspector Tim Rudd commented on the case: "The scale and complexity of this cannabis farm shows how far criminals will go to profit from illegal activities. Our intervention has successfully disrupted their operations and stopped millions of pounds worth of drugs from reaching the streets. We will continue to act on intelligence, collaborate with partners, and take firm measures to ensure public safety in Tameside."
