Alison Wonderland Discusses New Album 'Ghost World' and the Return of Her Energy

Alison Wonderland has confronted the uncertainty and self-doubt that many of us face, channeling her energy into her newest release. Today, Dec. 5, her fourth solo studio album, Ghost World, is officially out, marking a return to a more extroverted, energetic style.

This one felt like my first album in terms of having so much to express, Wonderland shared over a Zoom call. The energy came back to me. I had so much to give, in a more outward way compared to the introspective tone of my last record. Ive been feeling strong.

Since 2022s Loner, which hit No. 3 on Billboards Dance/Electronic Albums chart and debuted at No. 9 on the ARIA Chart, Wonderland has experienced significant life changes. She launched FMU Records, revived her darker project Whyte Fang with the album Genesis, and faced personal challenges including fertility struggles and a miscarriage in December 2024 that forced show cancellations.

I felt frustrated and needed to step back, she explained. Returning to Australia, Wonderland rediscovered her creativity, reconnected with fans, and embraced positivity. In November 2025, she welcomed a second son, bringing renewed joy.

The albums release was postponed from Oct. 15 to allow for production of merchandise, vinyl, and other essentials. Ghost World spans 14 tracks, including previously released singles like Get Started, Again? F., iwannaliveinadream, and Heaven featuring Ninajirachi.

I aim to translate my internal experiences outwardly, Wonderland said. This album is about reconnecting with excitement and finding my place. There were moments I felt like a ghost, questioning where I belong. Growing and evolving means staying in love with what you do.

Taking a break between Loner and Ghost World and working on Whyte Fang allowed her to return to her roots. She highlighted the albums collaboration with women such as Ninajirachi, as well as DJ Dave and Erick The Architect, with production support from Dylan Ragland, MEMBA, and QUIX. Mixing was handled by Tom Norris and Tristan Hoogland, and mastering by Dale Becker.

On stage, Wonderland is known for her vibrant performances, having sold over 800,000 tickets on U.S. tours alone. She made history with a 2018 Coachella headline and has seven times led her Temple of Wonderland shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

She will embark on a new tour in 2026 to support Ghost World. Im a perfectionist. You can pour everything into your work, but in the end, only you know if you truly reached your potential. That drives me constantly, she noted.
