All the Information We Have About Season 3 of 'The Night Agent' Thus Far

The hit action-thriller series The Night Agent is confirmed for a third season, a decision that was made even before the second season aired. Season 2, consisting of 10 episodes, premiered on January 23, 2025, on Netflix after a scheduling delay from its originally planned late 2024 release.

Release Date for Season 3

Season 3 is scheduled to debut on February 19, 2026, adding to Netflixs slate of returning fan-favorite series next year.

Returning Cast

Gabriel Basso will reprise his role as Peter Sutherland, the central character of the series. Amanda Warren, who joined as a series regular in Season 2 portraying Peters Night Action superior Catherine Weaver, is also expected back. Ward Horton and Albert Jones, introduced in Season 2, have been promoted to regular roles. Horton plays Governor Richard Hagan, a figure set to become the next U.S. President, while Jones portrays Deputy Director Aiden Mosely.

New Cast Additions

Season 3 will feature a high-profile lineup of new regulars, including David Lyons as a retired spy drawn back into action, Jennifer Morrison as the First Lady, and Stephen Moyer as a top assassin. Genesis Rodriguez, previously announced, will join as a journalist who crosses paths with Peter while investigating a covert financial network. Child actor Callum Vinson will also be introduced, alongside Suraj Sharma in a recurring role as a Treasury Agent fleeing Istanbul with sensitive intelligence after a deadly confrontation.

Character Returns and Departures

Chelsea (Fola Evans-Akingbola) will return as a series regular after her cameo in the Season 2 finale hinted at a larger role. Conversely, Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan) will not return for Season 3. The storyline will instead continue focusing on Peters journey, reflecting choices made at the end of the previous season. Both the creator and actors emphasized that these decisions serve the narrative and character development.

Peters Story in Season 3

Gabriel Basso highlighted Peters ongoing moral dilemmas, particularly his sense of responsibility over Rose, which shapes his decisions in high-stakes situations. The characters internal struggle with unintended consequences from his actions in Season 2 will be a major theme, as he navigates both emotional and logistical challenges moving forward.
