Danielle Colby, known for their role on American Pickers, shared on Instagram on Wednesday, December 3, that the long-running History Channel series has officially come to an end after 27 seasons. Colby, who uses they/them pronouns, has been involved with the show since its inception, working alongside Mike Wolfe at his Antique Archaeology shop before the TV series existed.
Marking their 50th birthday, Colby posted a video message to fans, discussing upcoming changes in their life. While reflecting on birthday celebrations with their husband, Jeremy Scheuch, Colby revealed the news about the shows conclusion. I just found out that American Pickers is done, they stated, sharing insights into personal transitions and future ambitions.
In addition to their television work, Colby is also a burlesque performer and recently opened the Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa. The museum showcases the history of burlesque through exhibits from Colbys personal collection, live performances, and storytelling. Colby explained that their focus will now shift entirely to the museum project. I am at this epic crossroads where Ive laid out what I want to do, so I already have that plan in motion, they said. Without the financial support of American Pickers, its going to be a wild one.
Colby admitted the transition will require a complete mental and financial adjustment, promising to document the journey for fans. You can come with me on this process as a former reality TV star just trying to find my way in the world, they added. Ive got the plan. Were moving forward. But how do I make money with a museum, thats the question Wish me luck!
The announcement follows the History Channels confirmation of a new show featuring Colbys co-star, Mike Wolfe. Historys Greatest Picks With Mike Wolfe is scheduled to premiere in February 2026. Despite Colbys statement, the network has not formally confirmed the end of American Pickers. A spokesperson noted that new episodes are not currently in production but could resume early next year, while reruns will continue airing into 2026.
American Pickers originally debuted in 2010, starring Mike Wolfe, Danielle Colby, and the late Frank Fritz, who passed away in September 2024 at the age of 60.

Danielle Colby, a familiar face from American Pickers, has confirmed via Instagram that the show has ended after 27 seasons. Their announcement coincided with personal milestones, including their 50th birthday and reflections on life changes with their husband, Jeremy Scheuch.
Colby, who has been part of the series since its inception, highlighted that their focus will now shift entirely to the Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa. The museum, which celebrates burlesque history, represents Colby’s long-term project and main professional focus moving forward.
The transition from reality TV to a full-time museum project presents both financial and personal challenges. Colby acknowledged the need for adjustment but emphasized that the museum plan is already in motion. They also plan to document this journey for their audience.
