Blackpink's Lisa, Don Lee, and 'Squid Game' Star Lee Jin-uk set to star in Netflix's new thriller 'Tygo' in the 'Extraction' Universe

Netflix has announced Tygo, an action-packed thriller featuring Blackpinks Lisa, Korean action star Don Lee, and Squid Game actor Lee Jin-uk. The film is set within the universe of Netflixs Extraction franchise, bringing a fresh Korean perspective to the streamers flagship action series.

The production is led by Big Punch Pictures, AGBO, and TGIM, with co-production support from Nova Film Inc and B&C Group. Tygo is adapted from an original graphic novel created by Anthony and Joe Russo with Ande Parks.

The story follows Tygo (Don Lee), a former child soldier turned mercenary, who embarks on a revenge mission through South Koreas criminal underworld after a mission goes wrong. The screenplay is written by Cha Woo-jin and the film is directed by Lee Sang-yong, known for The Roundup series.

Lisa, who appeared in The White Lotus Season 3, shared her excitement: Im honored to join this project and work with such incredible talent. Acting in an action film has always been a dream, and debuting with such a thrilling project makes it even more special.

Don Lee, recognized for The Roundup franchise and Marvels Eternals, stated: After years of development with AGBO, its exciting to finally move into production. Tygo introduces a distinctly Korean essence to the global Extraction universe. Were eager to deliver its energy to audiences worldwide.

The Extraction franchise has been a major hit for Netflix, with the first film reaching 90 million households in its first month and the second film topping Netflixs Global Top 10 Movies list for seven weeks, accumulating over 123 million views.
