Blake Lively Requests Trial in Lawsuit Against Justin Baldoni — Report

Blake Livelys attorneys have formally requested that her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni move forward to a full trial. In a recent filing, the actresss legal team challenged Baldonis previous attempt to dismiss the case.

Last month, Baldonis lawyers submitted a motion for summary judgment, asking Judge Lewis J. Liman to throw out Livelys lawsuit. They argued that Livelys complaints amounted to a series of minor issues that were not severe or pervasive enough to constitute a hostile or abusive work environment.

On December 4, Livelys lawyers responded with a new motion, opposing Baldonis claims and urging the court to allow the trial to proceed. Her team emphasized that the situation was not merely about creative disagreements but involved a toxic work environment.

The filing accuses Baldonis team of constructing a victimization narrative to evade responsibility for the hostile conditions alleged on the set of their 2024 film, It Ends With Us. According to Livelys lawyers, Baldoni is attempting to avoid trial and prevent Blake Lively from having her day in court by challenging her sexual harassment and retaliation claims with multiple legal arguments.

The 72-page submission further contends that the defenses portrayal of Livelya seasoned actress and mother of four seeking a respectful workplaceas a bully who took control of the production does not address allegations of harassment, retaliation, or defamation.

Blake Livelys case against Justin Baldoni is slated for trial in March 2026. Despite ongoing disputes over dismissal, no settlement discussions have been reported.
