Bristol Palin Advises Followers to Look Past the Face While Dealing With Paralysis Issues

Bristol Palin continues to manage symptoms that medical professionals have suggested may be Bells palsy. The 35-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin first disclosed in January that she had been experiencing partial facial paralysis.

When seeking medical advice, she shared that doctors indicated her condition could be linked to a case of Bells palsy, a disorder that leads to sudden weakness on one side of the face, as defined by the Mayo Clinic.

Although the precise nature of her condition remains uncertain, her symptoms appear to persist. On Thursday, December 4, Palin posted an Instagram Story promoting a hoodie from her boyhart clothing line and asked her followers to ignore the face.

A week prior, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant addressed her facial appearance in a Thanksgiving post featuring her 5-year-old daughter, Sailor Grace Meyer, whom she shares with ex-fianc Dakota Meyer. In discussing their outfits, she commented, Black skinnies, black long sleeve, same denim shirt I wear all the time, vintage Louis Vuitton and still a crooked face.

Earlier this year, Bristol first spoke publicly about her facial symptoms. She described experiencing a little weird sensation in my face that quickly escalated. Within a couple hours the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed, she explained. Couldnt really blink my eye. Definitely had no movement on [the left side] of my face. So crazy.

After undergoing tests and a CT scan, no abnormalities were detected. Still, doctors suggested the symptoms may have resulted from Bells palsy. According to medical sources, some individuals may experience lingering Bells palsy symptoms for an extended period, and in rare cases, for life.
