Mendes shared several fresh selfies, displaying her newly styled dark auburn lob. In one Instagram Story, accompanied by three scissor emojis, she paired the cut with elegant gold earrings. In another carousel post, she appeared in a butter-yellow hoodie and retro '90s sunglasses, highlighting her revamped hairstyle.

The last time the actress wore her hair this short was in 2016, just before the premiere of Riverdale, where she portrayed Veronica Lodge until the series concluded in 2023.

This isnt the first major shift Mendes has made to her hair. Last year, she transitioned from her signature brunette shade to a vivid red tone, debuting the look through airport-bathroom mirror selfies. The color featured a chili-pepper undertone, giving it a rich, salon-crafted finish rather than a natural red. Mendes appeared delighted with the change, smiling as she played with her soft waves.

Her colorist, Matt Rez, known for crafting dramatic red hues for celebrities, was behind both appearances. He previously created Dua Lipas notable cherry cola shade and recently transformed Khlo Kardashians hair into a copper red wig.
