Casey Bloys Reveals HBO's Slate in London and Announces Premiere Month for 'Euphoria' Season 3

HBO and HBO Maxs chief, Casey Bloys, revealed the networks latest programming lineup during a London event on Wednesday evening, bringing several stars along for the occasion. The highlight for fans was the announcement that Euphoria will return for its highly anticipated season 3 in April, with the exact premiere date yet to be confirmed.

Bloys introduced Sam Levinson, the shows executive producer, writer, and director, to discuss the new season. He teased that Zendayas character Rue will explore unconventional ways to manage her debts, while Sharon Stone takes on the role of a showrunner. Other cast members, including Sydney Sweeney and Colman Domingo, will encounter fresh challenges in the upcoming episodes.

Levinson described the new season as reflecting life after the safety net of school, with heightened stakes for the characters. He also praised the cast for their continued success, both on-screen and in film projects.

Joining Bloys in London were the creators of The Comeback, Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow, as well as the Industry team, including writers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay and star Marisa Abela. Kay promised that season 4 of Industry will be the most entertaining season we have made.

The upcoming series A Night of the Seven Kingdoms, set in the Game of Thrones universe, was also highlighted. Co-creator and showrunner Ira Parker described the protagonist, Ser Duncan Dunk the Tall, as coming from the lesser-known regions of Westeros, providing a humorous and more accessible entry point into the franchise. Parker called the show gritty, muddy, and harsh, and praised Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell for their performances.

King and Kudrow shared that the revival of The Comeback will focus on AI, emphasizing that the storyline is grounded in real-life possibilities rather than science fiction. Kudrow added that the plot explores potential real-world concerns.

Bloys also commented on HBO Max originals, noting a shift toward more cost-efficient yet elevated programming. He highlighted recent hits such as Task and The Chair Company, and mentioned that IT: Welcome to Derry ranks in viewership just behind House of the Dragon and The Last of Us.

On international expansion, Bloys emphasized that local productions are essential and can achieve significant success. The London event coincided with HBO Maxs announcement of upcoming launches in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein on January 13, with the U.K. and Ireland set to follow in early 2026.

Trailers were shown for Rooster, Lanterns, and season 3 of House of the Dragon, along with an untitled comedy from Sharon Horgan first introduced in February.
