'Chad Powers' gets green light for season 2 on Hulu

Glen Powell returns as the lead in Chad Powers as Hulu confirms a second season for the hit comedy series. The show, which blends humor with sports antics, follows Powell in the role of a football player navigating a quirky and challenging journey.

Chad Powers draws inspiration from the popular Eli's Places segment by ESPN and Omaha Productions, where Eli Manning went undercover with heavy prosthetics to attempt a walk-on tryout at Penn State. Eli and his brother Peyton Manning serve as executive producers, bringing their unique touch to the series.

Season 1 featured an ensemble cast including Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Steve Zahn, alongside Powell, who also co-created the series.

The storyline centers on hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday, who, eight years after a career-ending mistake, attempts to revive his football dreams by assuming the identity of Chad Powersa gifted but unconventional player joining the struggling South Georgia Catfish team.

Powell marked the renewal with a video on Instagram Story, celebrating the announcement. The caption read, "If you ever asked 'SEASON 2 WHEN???' this ones for you. Chad Powers is officially renewed for Season 2."
