Chad Spodick, known for competing on the 2016 reality series Finding Prince Charming, has died unexpectedly at the age of 42. Spodick was one of 13 men competing for Robert Seplveda Jr.'s affection on the Logo series hosted by Lance Bass.

His sister described his passing as sudden and shocking. A GoFundMe page set up by a friend confirmed the news and called his death "heartbreaking."

"Our hearts are shattered as we share the devastating loss of our beloved, kind, and generous son, brother, and friend Chad," wrote Kate Werbowski on the fundraising page, which aims to assist Spodick's mother, Felice Harwood, with funeral costs and ongoing living expenses. "We are still struggling to imagine a world without his light."

No details regarding the cause of his death were disclosed, but the page emphasized that it was entirely unexpected. Werbowski described Chad as someone who "lifted up his friends, encouraged everyone around him to grow, and believed in the worth of others. His love for animals was unparalleled, especially for his four dogs and his bird, Cosmo."

"The world was brighter with Chad in it, and anyone who knew him felt the warmth of his heart daily," she continued.

Friends and fans have been sharing tributes on his recent Instagram post, calling him "incredibly kind" and a "pure soul with a huge heart." His niece also urged donations to the GoFundMe to help support the family.

Spodick gained recognition for his appearance on Finding Prince Charming, though he left the show after six weeks. Reports later surfaced that he accused Seplveda of pursuing him and other former contestants after filming concluded.

Over $12,000 has been raised on the fundraising page in memory of Chad Spodick to support his mother and care for his beloved pets during this difficult time.
