Channing Tatum Pays Tribute to Late Co-Star by Revealing 'Man Crush'

Channing Tatum delivered a moving tribute to his late Magic Mike XXL co-star, Stephen tWitch Boss, three years after his passing. Speaking at the Dance Hall of Fame Ceremony in Los Angeles, Tatum reflected on their friendship and the lasting influence Boss had on those around him.

Stephen tWitch Boss tragically died by suicide at 40 on December 13, 2022. During the ceremony, Tatum became emotional while recalling moments with Boss, emphasizing the joy and laughter the dancer brought into his life. He confessed that he had promised himself not to cry, but his admiration for Boss made it impossible to hold back.

I do this because tWitch made me laugh constantly, Tatum shared. To speak about him from this stage is truly an honor beyond words.

Before addressing the audience, Tatum reflected on how to convey his feelings, acknowledging that others may have known Boss more intimately or for longer periods. I had the chance to work with him for a good amount of time, he said. Watching his video, seeing his faceits something you really need to experience.

Tatum described Boss as one of the most brilliant and radiant individuals he had ever met. He loved deeply, and thats why he shined so brightly, Tatum added, highlighting Boss ability to inspire others to pursue their best selves. He accepted people as they were, wherever they were going, and wanted to support them fully.

The actor also admitted to having a man crush on Boss, explaining the special bond they shared. Maybe its because were both from Alabama; I felt an instant connection, Tatum said, adding a playful nod to their shared roots. It was a true honor to call him my friend, and I know I will see him again someday.
