Blake Neff, a long-standing producer for The Charlie Kirk Show, used Wednesdays broadcast to confront a series of conspiracy theories circulated by Candace Owens, highlighting how her statements have led to harassment directed at Charlie Kirks friends and family.
Owens has a history of promoting debunked claims, including a past assertion questioning the identity of Frances First Lady, Brigitte Macron. She has also insinuated connections between Israel and Charlie Kirks tragic murder, suggesting foreign involvement in efforts to harm him. Kirk, the founder of the pro-Trump organization Turning Point USA, was fatally shot at a Utah university in September, and his alleged killer is awaiting trial.
Neff described Owenss allegations as either falsehoods or reckless insinuations with no regard for truth, adding, We have experienced more harassment from her followers than from Antifa supporters who openly celebrated Charlies death. He announced that Turning Point USA will host a livestream aimed at refuting Owenss claims, inviting her to participate.
Neff emphasized the intensity and persistence of Owenss accusations since Kirks death, noting that she has targeted Turning Point USA staff, volunteers, and close friends of Kirk. She has made unfounded claims about financial misconduct, alleged complicity in Kirks death, and improbable scenarios involving foreign operatives and campus events.
Among her allegations were claims against Charlies chief of staff, Michael McCoy, questioning his name, loyalty, and involvement in Kirks murder. Owens also accused members of Kirks family and the organizations staff of orchestrating or benefiting from the shooting, and repeatedly suggested elaborate conspiracies, including secret tunnels, foreign aircraft surveillance, and internal betrayal.
Neff underscored that all of Owenss claims are unfounded, asserting that Kirk personally oversaw financial audits and every organizational expense. He described the harassment stemming from Owenss rhetoric as malicious and relentless, affecting those grieving Kirks murder.
For months, Turning Point USA refrained from publicly addressing Owenss claims, partly out of hope that she would cease spreading falsehoods. Neff explained that their silence should not be mistaken for complicity, adding that Kirk himself would have opposed allowing lies to circulate unchallenged.
Looking ahead, Turning Point USA plans to host a livestream in Phoenix to address and debunk Owenss false accusations in detail. Neff stated that the purpose is not to engage Owens personally but to defend Kirks legacy and the truth, inviting her participation but focusing primarily on clarifying facts for the public.
