On November 23, Tara Reid was removed from a Rosemont, Illinois hotel on a stretcher, an incident she later described as the result of being drugged by an unknown individual. She filed a police report two days later claiming she had been given a drug while at the DoubleTree Chicago OHare Airport Rosemont.
After reviewing surveillance video from the hotel, the Rosemont Public Safety Department stated there is no evidence supporting Reids claim. The footage shows Tara Reid at the hotel bar, but there is no indication anyone tampered with or added anything to her drink, police confirmed. They also noted that a bartender covered her drink when she left the bar, which is standard procedure.
The investigation is still active as authorities await hospital records. Police said, We cannot confirm at this time whether any chemical testing was performed at the hospital. We are working with Reid to obtain those records. They emphasized that detectives will follow any leads once additional information is received. Currently, no criminal activity has been identified, and no suspects are under investigation.
In her police report, Reid, 50, described completely blacking out after having a drink with a man she met at the hotel bar, who identified himself as an influencer and YouTuber named Sean P. The pair reportedly went outside for a cigarette and exchanged phone numbers. Reid recalled seeing a napkin over her drink before losing consciousness and later waking up in a hospital several hours later with no memory of what occurred.
Video obtained by TMZ showed Reid struggling to stand as she was supported by a man, while another woman brought a wheelchair for her. She was later given bottled water but appeared disoriented. After being taken to the hospital, her agent returned her to the hotel to collect her belongings before she went back to Los Angeles.
Reid reported difficulties filing her police report from Los Angeles but eventually succeeded without returning to Illinois. She also alleged that the influencer sent her videos of the incident the following day, which she interpreted as an attempt at extortion, though he confirmed she only had one drink.
The DoubleTree Chicago OHare Airport released a statement on November 26, emphasizing that hotel staff immediately assisted Reid when her health appeared at risk. They stressed, The safety and security of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us, and confirmed cooperation with authorities regarding any guest safety concerns.
