Following its recent victories at the Gotham Awards and the New York Film Critics Circle, One Battle After Another extended its impressive awards-season momentum by sweeping the National Board of Reviews top categories on Wednesday. The Warner Bros. film earned the title of Best Film, while Paul Thomas Anderson was recognized as Best Director. Leonardo DiCaprio received Best Actor, Benicio Del Toro secured Best Supporting Actor, and Chase Infiniti was honored with the Breakthrough Performance award.
NBR President Annie Schulhof praised Andersons work, describing the film as both a daring and heartfelt exploration of contemporary life, framed through an unexpected fatherdaughter story filled with extraordinary events.
Rose Byrne was named Best Actress for If I Had Legs Id Kick You, marking her second consecutive win after earning the same honor from the New York Film Critics Circle. Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas received Best Supporting Actress for her role in Sentimental Value.
The National Board of Review will present its awards on January 13 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York, hosted by Willie Geist.
