Country music star announces passing of ex-wife: 'Heaven gained a star today'

The country music community is mourning alongside Coffey Anderson after he shared the heartbreaking news that his ex-wife, Criscilla Anderson, has passed away. Criscilla, 45, lost her battle with colon cancer on December 2, a fight she had faced since 2019.

On Instagram, Coffey paid tribute to her strength: Criscilla embodied courage like no one else. Heaven gained a star today. Before she passed, she told us, if you see a butterfly, that will be me. If you miss me, a butterfly will appear. Remember Ill always be with you.

He continued with a deeply emotional message: We already miss you. Our hearts are broken, our minds are scattered, and our lives will never be the same. The house feels emptier without you. Our children remain strong and resilient. Dance freely on the beaches of heaven. No more pain, no treatments, just endless desserts.

Coffey concluded with a poignant note: Im glad you get to meet the two little ones we lost. I love you endlessly. 143. #cancersucks.

The couple gained widespread attention through Netflixs 2020 reality series Country Ever After. Criscilla, a former hip-hop dancer, received public support from her friends, including Lindsey, who frequently updated fans on her condition via Instagram. In November, Lindsey shared that Criscilla had received a terminal diagnosis but continued to show remarkable resilience.

Sharing her final words through Lindsey, Criscilla wrote: My heart is heavy sharing this. I promised to walk this journey with her, and being by her side was the greatest honor. My sweet community, I have finally slipped into the arms of Jesus peacefully and surrounded by love. To my children I am still with you. To my friends and family thank you for your unwavering love. To Lindsey thank you for capturing my life beautifully. Heaven isnt far away, and I am still watching over you.

Criscillas message was a testament to her love, faith, and enduring spirit, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
