Emily Bader and Tom Blyth embark on a global adventure in the latest trailer for 'People We Meet on Vacation'

The new trailer for People We Meet on Vacation offers a glimpse into the summer journeys of Poppy and Alex, played by Emily Bader and Tom Blyth. Netflix unveiled the teaser for the highly anticipated romantic comedy on Tuesday.

Adapted from Emily Henrys best-selling novel, who also serves as an executive producer, the film follows two friends with contrasting personalities who share a decade-long tradition of vacationing together every summer despite living in separate cities.

According to the movie synopsis: "Free-spirited Poppy and organized, routine-oriented Alex have maintained an unusual but close friendship for ten years. Their yearly summer trips together face new challenges as they begin to wonder if they might actually be perfect for each other romantically."

The trailer depicts the pair on their first vacation together, culminating in Alex suggesting a yearly meet-up anywhere in the world. Poppy enthusiastically agrees, cementing their unique travel tradition.

The film is directed by Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud) with a screenplay by Yulin Kuang, Amos Vernon, and Nunzio Randazzo. The cast also includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon, and Alan Ruck.

People We Meet on Vacation is set to premiere on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
