Ernie Hudson shares that he recently watched "Ghostbusters" with his great-grandkids and still sings the song

Ernie Hudson, known for his role as Winston Zeddemore in the 1984 hit comedy Ghostbusters and its follow-ups, recently shared a heartfelt memory of watching the film with his three great-grandchildren. The 79-year-old actor, father of four and married to Linda Kingsberg for four decades, admitted he still enjoys singing the films iconic theme.

Sometimes I catch a scene and think, Wow, I was so young, Hudson laughed. I dont usually revisit much of my past work, but occasionally Ill watch it when it comes on TV. The last time was probably with my great-grandkids. I still sing the song, though.

Currently, Hudson stars in CBS's Boston Blue, a spinoff of Blue Bloods. In a conversation about his recent lasts, he reflected on personal habits and experiences:

  • Last obsession: I played Tetris for nearly 20 years before realizing it had become too consuming. Thats partly why I avoid drinking and smokingI tend to dwell on things.
  • Last DIY project: Im not handy. My wife wears the tool belt, and Im fine with that. Ill just grab the ladder if a light bulb goes out.
  • Last memorable fan moment: My wife and I were walking to dinner when someone in a car yelled, Ernie Hudson! Youre a legend! It was flattering and a reminder Im not getting any younger.
  • Last time dancing: I realized I cant dance. It happened at a premiereI was out of sync and trying too hard. That was the last time.

New episodes of Boston Blue air Fridays at 10/9c on CBS and are available to stream on Paramount+.
