Nearly three years have passed since the second season of Euphoria aired on HBO, and excitement for the next installment has only grown. Earlier this year, production for the highly anticipated third season officially started, with HBO sharing a first-look image of Zendaya reprising her role as Rue in February. Plot specifics are being kept secret, but it is known that Season 3 will involve a significant time jump, moving the characters beyond their high school years. During an HBO Max presentation in London, creator Sam Levinson shared, Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate, theyre engaged, and shes very caught up in social media, envious of the lives her former classmates appear to be leading. He added, I feel strongly this is our best season yet I will say that Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. Im confirming it. And I promise it will be an unforgettable night.

Zendaya told Entertainment Weekly that the new season will explore the characters' adult lives and how their high school experiences shape them in a broader world. Levinson also described Season 3 as having a film noir tone, focusing on Rues journey as she navigates maintaining her principles in a corrupt environment.

Adding fuel to fan speculation, leaked behind-the-scenes footage from April showed Sydney Sweeneys character in a wedding dress walking down the aisle, hinting that Cassie may indeed be preparing for marriage.

The third season of the acclaimed series will consist of eight episodes and is set to air on HBO in April 2026.
