Five years felt like a natural point because if the characters had gone to college, they would have finished by now, Levinson explained, according to Variety. The new season will follow Rue (Zendaya) in Mexico, dealing with debt to Laurie (Martha Kelly) and devising creative ways to repay it.

The most surprising revelation concerned Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi). Levinson confirmed, Cassie and Nate do, in fact, get married. Im confirming it. And I promise it will be an unforgettable night.

Fans will remember that in Season 2, Nate was involved with Cassies best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie), and Cassie secretly pursued a relationship with Nate. I feel strongly this is our best season yet.
