Expectant Alyssa Farah Griffin Clarifies Brief Absence From The View

Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of The View, recently explained her absence from the daytime talk show for three consecutive days. The 36-year-old revealed she was battling a stomach virus while being over six months pregnant with her first child alongside husband Justin Griffin.

Being sick while 6 months pregnant is tough, Alyssa wrote on her Instagram Story on December 3. She also reminded her followers to take precautions during flu season, advising the use of hand sanitizer and staying home if unwell. Alyssa expressed hope to return for the December 4 episode.

Her absence comes amid other co-hosts also taking breaks. Whoopi Goldberg returned to The View on December 1 after a two-week hiatus spent filming the Italian soap opera Un Posto Al Sole. The 70-year-old joked about adjusting to a new time zone and language while sharing updates with her co-hosts, including photos from the set. Doing a soap opera in another language in a different country was quite the experience, she remarked.
