December 3 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Wednesday that Tracy Beth Heg has been named the acting director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. This appointment comes shortly after Richard Pazdur, the agency's longtime oncology leader, announced his retirement just weeks into his tenure.
Pazdur had stepped into the role on November 11, following the resignation of George Tidmarsh, who left amid significant concerns regarding his personal conduct.
