The movie will premiere in select cinemas on March 6, 2026, followed by a streaming release on March 20 on Netflix.
Details about the plot remain under wraps, but the film is described as an epic continuation of the award-winning gangster saga, unfolding in the lawless streets of early 1900s Birmingham. Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as Tommy Shelby. Sophie Rundle returns as Ada Thorne, while Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy come back as Shelby allies Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong. Packy Lee returns as Johnny Dogs, a loyal family associate, with Ian Peck reprising his role as Curly, the Shelby familys horse expert.
The cast also features newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo. Direction is handled by Tom Harper, who previously directed several episodes of the series.
Originally debuting on the BBC in 2013, the series later expanded to the U.S. via Netflix and concluded in 2022 after six seasons. The show was created by British writer Steven Knight.
