Gal Gadot Reveals Rare Video of Her Initial Audition as Wonder Woman with Ben Affleck

Gal Gadot has unveiled the early screen test that secured her iconic role as Wonder Woman, calling the experience a life-changing journey. The actress marked the 12-year anniversary of her casting by posting the footage on Instagram on Thursday, giving fans a rare glimpse of her first scenes alongside Ben Affleck for the 2016 film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Twelve years ago today, I was cast as Wonder Woman, Gadot wrote alongside the clip. What an incredible, life-altering adventure with a character I adore. I thought it would be fun to share my camera test with Ben I watched it last night for the first time.

In the video, Gadot appears in a crisp white business suit as she steps out of a taxi, meeting Afflecks Bruce Wayne. Her character, Diana Prince, warns him with a sharp quip: Bruce, I believe I told you that if you ever try to contact or see me again, Id kill you. The exchange continues with Bruce alerting Diana about Lex Luthors growing interest, but she confidently assures him that she isnt in danger he is.

The scene concludes with Gadot walking away, while Affleck turns to the camera with a knowing look, emphasizing the dynamic of their early chemistry on set.

Gadots performance in the test ultimately led to her landing the role of the Amazonian superhero, launching her into worldwide fame. She has since reprised Wonder Woman in multiple DC films, including 2017s Wonder Woman and Justice League, 2020s Wonder Woman 1984, and 2023s The Flash.

She ended her tribute by expressing gratitude to director Zack Snyder for casting her as Diana Prince and sharing the footage with her, highlighting the start of a defining chapter in her career.
