During The Hollywood Reporter's Annual Women in Entertainment Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Goldie Hawn and Sarah Paulson paid emotional homage to Diane Keaton, who passed away in October at the age of 79.

Hawn, Keaton's co-star in The First Wives Club, and Paulson, who appeared alongside Keaton in the 1999 film The Other Sister, became visibly emotional as they shared memories of their late friend in front of an audience of filmmakers, actors, and industry peers.

Hawn recalled her close connection with Keaton, whose home was located just below hers. "We could always talk, laugh, and share moments. Knowing she was right there was a true joy," Hawn said. She described the moment of Keaton's passing while in her backyard, reflecting on the emptiness left behind. "She brought so much joy and energy to everyone around her. She was a rare, extraordinary soul," Hawn added.

Paulson remembered Keaton as a cherished friend for 25 years and called her "one of the great loves of my life." She recounted filming The Other Sister and how Keaton comforted her, reinforcing the lasting bond they would share. Paulson emphasized that Keaton taught her to embrace her true self by living it authentically, rather than through words.

The gala also recognized other achievements in entertainment, honoring Gwyneth Paltrow with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award and Jennifer Lopez with the Equity in Entertainment Award. Paltrow received her award from Robert Downey Jr., while Kerry Washington presented Lopezs award. The event included Dakota Johnson, Chase Infiniti, and Regina Hall presenting scholarships to students, with Rachel Sennott, Molly McNearney, Jimmy Kimmel, Olivia Munn, and Bella Thorne among the attendees.
