Gwyneth Paltrow's Mother's Text Chain Exploded After Onscreen Kiss With Timothee Chalamet

Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about the reactions from her friends after she shared a steamy onscreen kiss with Timothe Chalamet. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 53-year-old actress described how her mom-friend text chain erupted when behind-the-scenes photos from her upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme were released. In the movie, Paltrow portrays an actress involved in a romance with Chalamets character, a ping-pong prodigy.

The group chats were blowing up. Blowingup! Paltrow recalled, explaining that her friends in both Los Angeles and the U.K. flooded her phone with screenshots of the on-set kiss. They were all sending me these pictures, like, Yessss, G.P.! Everyone was thrilled, she said.

Her children, however, had contrasting reactions. Paltrows daughter, Apple, 21, thought the scene was awesome, while her son, Moses, 19, was reportedly mortified and couldnt bring himself to watch.

After years away from major film roles while managing her lifestyle brand Goop, Paltrow described returning to set and filming a passionate scene with Chalamet as surreal. I was like, Do I even remember how to do this? she admitted.

Marty Supreme is set to premiere in theaters on Christmas Day, giving audiences a chance to see Paltrow and Chalamet share the much-discussed onscreen moment.
