Glen Powell is set to reprise his role as Chad Powers as Hulu officially renews the series for a second season. The announcement was made on Wednesday, shortly after the conclusion of the first season in late October.

Premiering on September 30, Chad Powers is inspired by Eli Mannings ESPN segment Elis Places and Omaha Productions. The original segment featured Manning using prosthetics to attempt a walk-on tryout at Penn State.

The first season followed the story of Russ Holliday, a once-promising quarterback whose career was derailed by a past mistake. In a bid to revive his football dreams, he adopts the persona of Chad Powers, an unconventional but talented player who joins the struggling South Georgia Catfish team.

The cast includes Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson, alongside Powell in the lead role.
