Influencer Receives Criticism for Admitting She 'Altered' Daughter's Birthday: 'She Will Never Find Out'

Australian social media personality Indy Clinton is facing criticism after revealing she had decided to celebrate her daughters birthday on a different date than her actual birth date. In a TikTok posted on Tuesday, December 2, the mother of three stated, I was actually going to ask you guys for your opinion on something but Ive already made up my mind I dont need your opinion.

Clinton, who gave birth to daughter Soul with Ben Azar on December 18, 2023, announced she now intends to celebrate the birthday on December 12 instead. It felt too close to Christmas for my liking shes never going to know we have officially changed it, she explained.

She further defended her choice, saying, She wasnt born on that day, but honestly, who needs to know? Genuinely, I cannot think of a reason why this would be bad.

However, many viewers criticized the decision, warning that it could lead to confusion for her daughter in the future. One comment read, No one else needs to know after making a TikTok with 100K views. Another cautioned, Do not do this Indy. Shes gonna have to fill out official forms when shes older and not know her birthday.

Clinton also has two other children: son Navy, born in 2020, and daughter Bambi, born in 2022.
