Israel has secured its place in the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, following a decision made by the assembly of participating broadcasters.
Several nations had pushed for Israel to be barred from competing, citing concerns over the humanitarian impact of the conflict in Gaza and allegations regarding biased voting.
Rather than taking a vote on excluding Israel, the broadcasters agreed on a revised set of regulations aimed at preserving the contest's fairness and integrity.
In response, the Dutch broadcaster Avrotros declared it will not take part in the 2026 contest, which is scheduled to take place in Vienna next May.
