EXCLUSIVE: The indie romantic comedy Whodunnit, starring Lana Condor, has completed its cast. New additions to the film include Jack Whitehall (Jungle Cruise), Robbie Amell (Upload), Lizze Broadway (Gen V), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), and Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat).
Details about their respective characters have not yet been disclosed. The film is currently being shot in Oregon and follows the story of Tess Klein (Condor), a woman whose life plan was clear: love by 25, marriage by 30, and a child by 34. However, after a disastrous marriage proposal and a spontaneous weekend of wild decisions, Tess, encouraged by her best friend Kelsey to get under someone else to get over someone, ends up pregnantwithout any clue as to who the father is. As she embarks on a quest to uncover the truth, Tess learns that sometimes, the family you need finds you when you least expect it.
The project is being produced by BuzzFeed Studios, CaliWood Pictures, Fortitude International, and Nickel City Pictures. The film is being directed by Nora Kirkpatrick (A Tree Fell in the Woods), who also contributed to the screenplay, alongside Jessica Kravitz and Chelsea Catalanotto. The films producers include Richard Alan Reid and Michael Philip for BuzzFeed Studios, Mark Fasano and Matthew Goldberg for Nickel City Pictures, and Mike Blutstein from Hooky Media. Executive producers include Nadine De Barros from Fortitude International, R. Wesley Sierk III, John D. Straley, Jina Panebianco, and Audra Gricius from CaliWood Pictures.
Fortitude International and BuzzFeed Studios are handling worldwide sales for the film. Jack Whitehall is represented by CAA and Independent Talent, Robbie Amell by UTA, Synchrony Artists, and Felker Toczek McGinnis, Lizze Broadway by WME, Anonymous Content, and Myman Greenspan Fox, Elizabeth Mitchell by IAG and Link Entertainment, and Randall Park by UTA and Artists First.
