Jason Kelce reveals details about his wife Kylie Kelce's previous miscarriage

Jason Kelce recently spoke about his wife Kylie Kelces previous pregnancy loss, highlighting the support they received from their sports community during this difficult period. The former Philadelphia Eagles center made these remarks while accepting the March of Dimes Sports Achievement Award in New York City on Wednesday.

"I remember stepping out to my truck during practice, overwhelmed with emotion and grief," Kelce recalled, describing the period as "absolutely devastating."

Pregnancy loss can refer to a miscarriage before 20 weeks or a stillbirth after 20 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, miscarriages are fairly common, affecting roughly 10 out of 100 recognized pregnancies, though some losses may occur before a pregnancy is even known. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that about 21,000 babies are stillborn in the U.S. annually, which is approximately 1 in 175 pregnancies.

After discovering their loss, Kelce said the couple was embraced by their community, including the Eagles organization. "Moments like that show you how incredible sports teams and communities are," he said. "Coaches, teammates, friends so many people reached out, and it really opened my eyes to how common miscarriages are, even though they are rarely discussed."

Kylie Kelce previously shared in a July 2024 TikTok video that she experienced a miscarriage before the birth of their eldest daughter, Wyatt. "I went in for my 13-week ultrasound, and there was no heartbeat," she explained. She emphasized the importance of privacy for parents, stating, "This is not a topic that needs to be reported first. Let parents share their story when they are ready."

The Kelces have been married since 2018. They are parents to Wyatt Elizabeth, 6, Elliotte Ray, 4, Bennett Llewellyn, 2, and Finnley "Finn" Anne, 8 months.
