Jason Kelce Shares Heartbreaking Experience of Pregnancy Loss with Wife Kylie

Jason Kelce reflected on one of the most challenging moments of his life during the March of Dimes 43rd Annual Sports Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 3, held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The retired NFL player, 38, accepted the March of Dimes Sports Achievement Award, introduced by his wife Kylie.

Speaking candidly, Kelce discussed the couples experience with pregnancy loss in 2018, before the birth of their first child, Wyatt. He described the event as absolutely devastating and shared how deeply it affected him personally.

"I remember stepping out to my truck during practice, overwhelmed with grief and emotion," Kelce recounted. "Moments like those show how powerful sports communities can be. Coaches, teammates, and friends reached out, and it became clear how common miscarriages are, even though its rarely spoken about."

He emphasized how important the support from those around them was during that period, noting it helped them realize they were "not alone in this." Since that loss, the couple has welcomed four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley Finn Anne Kelce, 8 months.

Kelce concluded his speech by expressing gratitude to everyone contributing to the March of Dimes. "The work that March of Dimes does is not abstract. Its about families, kids, and babies. The support given to parents nationwide should not be underestimated. I greatly appreciate you all being here and this award," he said.
