Before going on a date with Jinger Duggar, Jeremy Vuolo faced a unique challenge. On the December 3 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, the couple opened up about the extensive courtship questionnaire that Vuolo, 38, received from Jingers father, Jim Duggar.

About ten years ago, I met an amazing girl and wanted to ask her out, Vuolo recalled. When I approached her dad, he handed me a 60-page questionnaire with 235 questions that I had to complete before I could take her on a date.

The father of three, who shares daughters Felicity, 7, and Evangeline, 5, and son Finnegan, 8 months old, with Jinger, explained that the questionnaire covered a wide array of topics including religious beliefs, personal character, lifestyle choices, sexual history, and financial situation.

Vuolo shared some sample questions from the document:
What is your parents church attendance history? Has there been any sexual immorality in your family? Please elaborate. When does a son no longer fall under parental authority? Have any family members been involved in cult practices?

He continued:
Have you ever kissed someone? How do you feel about doing so before marriage? Do you have savings? How much? In what form? Do you have other sources of income? How much? Do you have debts? How much?

Vuolo admitted that, under ordinary circumstances, he might not have completed such a process for a date. However, knowing Jingers sister Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald beforehand helped him feel confident.

If I hadnt known Ben and Jessa and had their perspective, if I hadnt gotten to know Jinger personally and seen her for myself, I might have thought, This is too much just to grab coffee, he explained.

For Jinger, the questionnaire actually accelerated their relationship. Seeing the questionnaire and knowing more about him gave me peace and helped me feel closer to him, she said.
