Jojo Siwa Improving After Experiencing Severe Pain from Burst Ovarian Cyst, but Not Out of the Woods Yet

Jojo Siwa has shared an update on her recovery after a concerning health scare last week. On Tuesday, December 2nd, the singer and dancer took to social media to inform her followers about her progress following what she described as a burst ovarian cyst that caused bleeding into her abdomen.

In her Instagram post, Siwa expressed her gratitude for the well-wishes and support she received, writing, "Its been nothing short of an eventful weekend thats for sure! Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers! Im happy to say Im doing a bit better, Im not in the clear yet, but feeling better and doing well!"

She continued, "I had a bit of a scare with a fever the night after I went to the hospital, but slept and woke up fever free and have been since! resting when I can and drinking lots and lots of electrolytes! Keeping it pushing!"

Siwa also expressed her appreciation to fans for their kind messages. She included a series of photos from her performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, on November 28th, where she performed despite having been hospitalized earlier that day due to intense stomach pain.

In the photos, Siwa is seen smiling and waving at the crowd during the Black Friday event while wearing a sparkling No. 23 jersey and black pants adorned with festive holiday decorations. She reassured fans by stating, "Aside from all the drama with my Cyster Ive had fun all week visiting different dance studios across America to teach fans the choreo to my new holiday song, 'Message to the World (Little Drummer Girl).'"

She added, "It hasnt been easy and Ive been up and down with pain, but seeing the SMILES on the kids' faces while dancing and hanging out for a little bit makes it so worth it!!"

The post also included pictures of Siwa in the hospital, one where she is seen on a gurney with a thumbs-up, and another showing her being loaded into an ambulance with a thermometer reading 100 degrees.

In a TikTok video from the previous week, Siwa revealed that she had been dealing with persistent pain for several days, which worsened whenever she danced or moved. She initially thought it was menstrual cramps and sought advice from her mother before calling an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with a burst ovarian cyst, which had been bleeding into her abdomen.
