Kandi Burruss Unaware Ex Todd Tucker Was 'Talking to Other Women' Before Breakup

Kandi Burruss seems to have been caught off guard by her ex-husband Todd Tucker prior to filing for divorce after 11 years of marriage. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, previously shared with People that she had decided to move forward with ending her marriage to the 52-year-old. A source told the outlet on December 3 that the couple had been experiencing marital difficulties for some time.

Kandi was upset when she discovered Todd had been communicating with other women without her knowledge, the source revealed. She was completely unaware.

On November 21, Burruss issued a statement saying, This is an emotional period, but my priority is to protect my peace, be the best mother possible, and co-parent with love and respect. I am focusing on my work, my family, and personal growth. I appreciate the support over the years and ask for privacy and understanding during this transition.

Burruss met Tucker during the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011, and they tied the knot in April 2014. Both have children from prior relationships and share son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaze, 5.

According to Us Weekly, Tucker filed paperwork on November 26 seeking primary custody of the children. He also questioned the enforceability of their prenuptial agreement, stating that Ace and Blaze currently reside with him in Georgia while Burruss manages out-of-state work obligations. The documents indicated that her commitments will continue to require her absence from the children for several months, and he requested primary custody.

The filing mentioned that both parties have been attempting to resolve issues amicably. However, if an agreement on custody cannot be reached, Tucker intends to seek primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority. He suggested that Burruss have significant and meaningful time with the children while remaining hopeful that ongoing discussions will fully resolve all matters.
