The Netflix film, which represents Winslets directorial debut, tells the story of siblings navigating the challenges of their mothers declining health during the holidays. Joe, who penned the screenplay, joined his mother on the red carpet, looking polished in a classic black tuxedo paired with black leather dress shoes and a slightly unbuttoned white shirt for a relaxed touch.

Winslet radiated elegance in a black scoop-neck gown with subtle off-shoulder detailing. The fitted waist, accentuated by a matching belt with a gold buckle, flared into a sleek column silhouette. Her blonde hair was styled in a low, soft middle-parted bun, and she accessorized with angular gold hoop earrings and a gold watch. Laughing and chatting with Joe, she looked every bit the proud mother.

Earlier, the pair had been spotted attending another event in Hollywood, continuing their promotional appearances for Goodbye June. This project is particularly special, as it marks Winslet and Joes first collaboration in the film industry.

Speaking about her involvement behind the camera, Winslet shared that her protective instincts played a role in her decision to direct. She wanted to ensure that the story remained true to Joes vision and that handing it over to another director wasnt the right move. When it came to the screenplay being ready, I knew I wanted to produce it and play Julia. But I couldnt let someone else direct it, because it was his story, she explained.

Alongside Joe, Winslet also has a daughter, Mia Threapleton, and a younger son, Bear. The red carpet appearance highlighted the close bond between mother and son as they celebrated this milestone in both their personal and professional lives.
