Kim Porter: Diddy's Late Ex-Girlfriend and Mother of 4 of His Children - Who She Was

Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kim Porter began their relationship in the early 1990s after meeting while working at Uptown Records. The couple shared four children together: Quincy, Christian, D'Lila, and Jessie. They officially parted ways in 2007, and Porter tragically passed away from lobar pneumonia in 2018 at the age of 47.

Combs was reportedly captivated by Porter from their first encounter. In the 2025 Netflix series Sean Combs: The Reckoning, Tim "Dawg" Patterson remarked, When Sean saw Kim, it was different. He put it all on the table for Kim. Their romance began as Combs was establishing himself in the hip-hop scene. Before meeting Combs, Porter had a son, Quincy Brown, with producer Al B. Sure! Combs later helped raise Quincy as his own.

The couple welcomed their first child together, Christian Combs, in 1998, but they broke up a year later and engaged in a custody battle. They reunited in 2003, and in 2006, Porter gave birth to twin daughters, DLila Star Combs and Jessie James Combs. The couple ended their relationship permanently in 2007.

Porter was born in Columbus, Georgia, on December 15, 1970. After graduating high school in 1988, she moved to Atlanta to pursue modeling and later expanded into acting, appearing in films like The Brothers (2001) and The System Within (2006).

Porter initially worked as a receptionist at Uptown Records, where she met Combs. By 1994, they were dating, and Combs became a father figure to her son Quincy. Porter described their bond as inseparable, often spending time together both personally and professionally.

Following their first breakup, Porter had a relationship with music executive Shakir Stewart, which reportedly caused tension with Combs. Despite their rocky past, Porter and Combs reconciled in 2003 and welcomed their twin daughters in December 2006. Porter maintained close relationships with all her children, with Quincy noting in 2023 how he planned to carry forward her legacy.

After giving birth to the twins, Porter ended her relationship with Combs permanently in 2007, after discovering he had fathered a child with another woman during her pregnancy. Despite the betrayal, Porter emphasized maintaining a cooperative parenting relationship with Combs.

Even after their separation, Porter and Combs remained on friendly terms, attending events to support their children. On November 15, 2018, Porter was found deceased in her home in Toluca Lake, California. She was laid to rest in Columbus, Georgia, with a public funeral officiated by T.D. Jakes and attended by more than 100 people.
