Leonardo DiCaprio's Reaction to Timothée Chalamet's Head Shave

Timothe Chalamet recently opened up about how Leonardo DiCaprio reacted to his striking new buzzcut. During an interview, the Dune star shared the amusing message he received from DiCaprio and also highlighted his favorite actors of all time.

Chalamet Recalls DiCaprios Reaction

Chalamet participated in a fast-paced interview session with Lucid Motors, alongside NBA players Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson, as well as British racing driver Ben Collins. When Hart asked who the greatest person hed ever gotten a text from was, Chalamet immediately named Leonardo DiCaprio. He recounted the text he received just before the interview:

He roasted me today. He said, I heard you shaved your head. Say it aint so.

This referred to Chalamets new hairstyle, which he revealed in October after finishing his role as Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuves Dune: Part 3. Fans were surprised to see him part ways with his signature curls.

The Bond Between Chalamet and DiCaprio

The actors have kept in touch since starring together in Adam McKays 2021 dark comedy Dont Look Up. Chalamet previously shared career guidance he received from DiCaprio in an interview with The New York Times:

Leonardo DiCaprio told me, No superhero movies, no hard drugs, which I thought was very solid advice. I follow both, Chalamet said. But the film that inspired me to act was a superhero movie, The Dark Knight. If the script and director were exceptional, Id consider it.

Favorite Actors

During the Lucid Motors interview, Chalamet also listed his all-time favorite actors, placing Denzel Washington at the top. He described Christian Bale as the second greatest and Joaquin Phoenix as the strange GOAT.
